My approach to yoga:2024-03-22T19:15:00+00:00

I’m a laid-back yoga instructor who believes in having fun and laughing at myself. However, I’m also trauma-informed, which means I take your well-being seriously, sometimes even more than myself. In my classes, I strive to create an inclusive environment where yoga is for every body—regardless of shape, size, color, gender, age, or any other factor.

I value honesty and openness, so I work to be inclusive, honest, and informative in my teaching. Your feedback is always welcome, and I provide modifications for those who may prefer not to speak up. My goal is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for all, while also respecting individual needs and experiences.

You can expect a deep reconnection with your body. Often during an asana that is held for several minutes, like in a Yin class, our mind begins to wonder. That’s perfectly fine, common, and normal. Some people laugh, cry, get discouraged, or even fall asleep. Remember, yoga is for Every Body, so try not to judge yourself, and do not judge others. We are all in different places in our lives, and what is accessible to you today may not be tomorrow.

That’s fine, that’s yoga asana!

What is coaching?2024-03-22T19:04:08+00:00

Coaching is a collaborative and goal-oriented process designed to help individuals or groups achieve personal or professional growth. In a coaching relationship, a trained professional, known as a coach, works with clients to identify their goals, challenges, and potential obstacles. The coach then assists the clients in creating actionable plans to reach their desired outcomes.

Coaching differs from counseling or therapy in that it focuses on the present and future rather than the past. While therapy often addresses emotional healing and past traumas, coaching is forward-looking and aims to enhance performance, develop skills, and achieve specific goals.

The role of a coach is to provide support, encouragement, and accountability throughout the journey. Coaches use various techniques and tools to help clients gain clarity, set achievable goals, and overcome obstacles. These techniques may include asking powerful questions, providing feedback, offering perspective, and creating accountability structures.

“The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.

We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome, and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can change your life, setting you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.” – ICF Sourced
